Port Safaga

 

 

Port Safaga is about 65 km south of Hurghada, a tourist area that is comprised of several hotels, resorts, bungalows and rest houses. Having numerous phosphate mines, the city is regarded as the phosphates export center. A well paved road of ca. 165 km connects Safaga to Qena in Upper Egypt. It is a marine port connected by a regular cruise shuttle service line with Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
