El Quseir
El Quseir is located 140 km south of Hurghada respectively 130 km north of Marsa Alam in the south-eastern region of Egypt. The city is located on the Red Sea coast. Populated for approximately 5,000 years, its ancient name during the Ptolemaic era was Myos Hormos. Historically, it was the endpoint of the Wadi Hammamat trail, an important route connecting Egypt and the Red Sea. Today El Quseir is home to ca. 50.000 residents, many of them working in the field of tourism.
